“Outreaching travels ….again!!!!”

Our “A Taste of This and A Taste of That” Project goes on the road, outreaching to many more people. We delivered a session at Inspired Taskforce in Levenshulme, asking people imagine they at are at the seaside looking into the Sea , and think about their visits to Seaside and the experiences this offers . Using only 3 chosen colours to represent their Seaside memories and paint some patterns on white card. We provided some templates to help people, and away they went.

Another organisation the project has been outreached to , is The Debdale Bowling and Social Group, over a 2 week period. It’s great to be back here, helping people make their very own Manchester Bee mosaic new coasters, increasing people’s confidence and skills for everyone to learn, and the results were fantastic. Lovely atmosphere as always.

Week 1 images below.

Returning in Week 2 , to grout the finished coasters and work on some more, whilst enjoying some celebratory cake !!!

“Proud as Punch !!!”

Back working at Collier House with our group members, we started to delivery a series of printmaking workshops , once again building people’s confidence and skills. Week 1 was Monoprinting, used scraps of paper making marks on paper and card , ready to print over in the following weeks.

Week 2 back at Collier House, we encouraged people to produce a simplify Self Portrait Linocut, this can be tricky , but with a lot of help and guidance , anything is possible.

Huge sale of Community Generated Artwork, so please come along and support our organisation.

“divided creations “

We continue our “A Taste of This and A Taste of That” Project, focusing and expanding everyone’s “fruit life studies” from previous weeks.

Our aim as always is to generate more skills / training and increased confidence for all participants. By teaching people to divide their drawings using straight lines, and select limited colour to paint the different sections, the work becomes something quite different.

“The following week was a continuation of extending the “Fruit life studies ” , looking closely at Picasso’s ” Glass with bottle” artwork . We asked all participants to trace the previous weeks work, and working only on A4 size now, create a piece of work using limited watercolour, newspaper, and wallpaper areas of their work , but leaving some areas white.

And the final results , look excellent !!!.
