“Kite” Project

Our group visit to the Lowry was an inspiration; the Wrong Crowd/Soho Theatre Production titled “KITE” was a magical experience for all .And the group members got an opportunity to freely talk about their project with the cast of the production and members of the Lowry Theatre.
The delivered session today was sadly Florence and Kat from Aperio Films last visit until we all meet again ‘some sunny WINDY day “ in the near future at the costal location where they will film the up, up, and away, flight of our Kites. We all have really warmed to them and their enthusiasm towards the project as been a great help.
The groups individual personal designs are coming along nicely, while the “Let’s go fly a Kite “music is constantly played in the background, its chaos….but should it really be anything else?

“Kite”

Well our “Kite” Project is in full flight!
The group members are working on their designs for the kites, each image is developed from the individual personal stories written about elements of their own childhood.
Last Monday the group members and I got the opportunity to give Florence and Kat from Aperio Films a big Northern welcome at the studio.
How are we doing with this project? was a call from the back of the studio , the answer is simple “its up in the Air, at the moment” !
Last Saturday Gorton Visual Arts celebrated a 10 year existence, so we are off next Friday the 19th Feb to all enjoy ourselves and mark this great achievement together at The Lowry in Salford, where we are going to see The Wrong Crowd/Soho Theatre Production titled what else…… but “KITE”.
