Fantastic audiences at All Saints Primary School, Age Concern Openshaw, and Sacred Heart Church Hall over the past two weeks
Much laughter, singing, engagement, and opportunities for the group members to talk about their individual stories behind the kite designs …smashing stuff!!
One lady at Age Concern told a story about her experiences being evacuated with her two older brothers during the Second World War, great story for a kite design, and then asked where l was evacuated too? Ha Ha.
The project continues to encourage other people to become more active, benefitting their health and well-being, and creates increased understanding between young and older people.
Some Quotes below from various audiences at various locations.
“l enjoyed listening about the days gone by and how we all played out together. l had enjoyment looking at the kites, so brightly painted and all the hard work that had been put into them. Such a lovely project.” – Mavis Gudgeon- Patrick Roddy Court
“l thoroughly enjoyed the show and the stories behind it. lt brought back a lot of fond memories’ – Arthur Doyle – Age Concern ,Openshaw
“Very good, very clever making the kites seems a very busy group” – Barbara Wrench – Levenshulme Inspire.
“lt was very good , l would like to see it again and more” – Annie Gordon – Sacred Heart Church Hall
‘Most entertaining this kind of activity, always brings out hidden talent in people, and also creates confidence while having fun” – A. Beaches –Sacred Heart Church Hall
